Writer's stop is a secret indulgence
that I just noticed on my most recent trip to Walt Disney World. If you happen
to have a fond liking for coffee, books music and Disney collectables you may
want to make Writer's Stop, at Disney's Hollywood Studios a must do
for your next Disney vacation.
Ambiance....
Upon entering Writer's Stop, coffee addicts alike will be in
heaven as this is the only location on Walt Disney World property that give you
the feel of an actual coffee shop. The ambiance is unlike anything else at Walt
Disney World, which puts this stop in my top 10 for snack stops. So grab your made to order coffee treat, take a seat and enjoy the cartoons on the tube!!
Yummy Treats...
Disney travelers are always looking
for a great way to utilize their Disney Snack Credit. A fabulous thing about
Writer's Shop is that everything on the menu can be paid for using your snack
credit!!
Some of the tasty treats include:
Cookies
Muffins
Giant Sized Brownies
Carrot Cake Cookie (FYI....you will
want to try this....it is yummmmy!!)
Drinks Include:
Coffee
Latte
Cappuccino
Espresso
Mocha
*All drinks can be iced.
* There are flavored syrups that can
be added for an additional charge.
What is cool about Writer's Stop?
Do you remember that show called
"Ellen"? Take a look around when you visit Writer's Stop; you
will notice that the store was themed to follow "Ellen's" Buy the
Book shop from the show. Upon the 1996 cancellation of "Ellen" Disney
quickly refurbished the shop to a regular coffee shop. Not everything was
completely removed from the shop. You can find photos from the set of Ellen,
time sheets and scene directions from a script. Take a look up and notice the
TV set lighting along the ceiling of the shop....encourage little ones to check
out the lights for Hidden Mickey's.
I thought that Writer's
Stop would be a wonderful place to share because I am always being
asked where in the "World" one can get a good cup of coffee while on
Disney property. Not only does Writer's Stop provide a wonderful cup of coffee
made to order by a barista, but the ambiance is just like a city style coffee
shop. You feel cozy, relax and refreshed upon leaving this quaint little spot
tucked away in the corner of Hollywood Studios.
See ya real soon!
Kelly
