What Makes Walt Disney World So Magical?

Happy Wednesday Guru readers!!!!

What makes Walt Disney World so magical? Last week, I talked about Soarin’ and how I feel that the magic of flight is spot on with creating a unique magical experience for guests of all ages.
This week the magical icon at Walt Disney World is Cinderella Castle. I mean come on…they don’t even have to put Walt Disney World on any ad they put out…they can just add the castle and boom…there you have it a Walt Disney World ad that every man, woman or child can identify!
Detail and thought is put into every single detail at Walt Disney World and Cinderella Castle is no exception. When you first approach the castle, take note of the three circle fence that runs along the walkway toward the entry section to the castle. If you are looking at the right time of day, you will see Mickey’s silhouette.
Just before you enter the castle, take a gander upwards. You will notice that there is an apartment suite that was included on the original design of the castle.  Unfortunately, Walt Disney passed away before it was entirely built.  Roy Disney was offered the suite and said no. It soon became a storage location and currently performers use it for relaxation before & after  they perform.
A keen eye will see the Disney family coat of arms standing guard over the front and back entrances to the castle.
Take note of the gorgeous mosaic tile on the wall. This gives a wonderful depiction of the evil stepsisters and their true feelings for Cinderella. Pay close attention to  their face and eye colors throughout the scene.  The attention to detail is stunning and should not go unnoticed.
All of the crests that decorate the lobby walls inside of the castle restaurant are the family emblems of a variety of Disney Executives and Imagineers. Feel free to ask a Cast Member if you can see a book that identifies each of the coat of arms.
This last magical castle experience is my favorite!! As you pass behind the castle, you will see a beautiful fountain of Cinderella.  Bend down and take a drink from the water fountain, this symbolizes you bowing down to the princess, children never have to bow to the princess. The real magic happens when you watch both Cinderella and the wall mural behind her as you make a deep bow.
